5 upcoming flagship smartphones from Apple, Google, Samsung, Nothing, and Poco that are worth watching
Smartphone manufacturers, particularly those dealing in premium devices, have had a great 2025 so far. While most smartphone manufacturers have already released their 5 upcoming flagship products, brands such as Apple, Samsung, Google, Nothing, and Poco have yet to unveil their top-tier devices. If you are considering an upgrade, here are five smartphones that are worth the wait.
Nothing Phone 3
Nothing confirmed earlier this month that the Phone 3 will be launched on July 1. In contrast to the Nothing Phone (2), which was a mid-range device, the forthcoming phone will be Nothing’s first flagship phone.
No official confirmation exists yet, but various leaks and rumors suggest that the Nothing Phone 3 will feature Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Moreover, the company has verified that it is discontinuing the renowned Glyph interface, which means it will not resemble any of the company’s current products.
Allegedly, the Nothing Phone 3 comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display that features a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. There are also speculations that the device will feature as much as 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. We could see a 5,000mAh battery, but Nothing might surprise us by opting for a larger Silicon-Carbon battery. Furthermore, given that this is a flagship product, we may see Nothing reintroducing wireless charging.
Regarding optics, the Nothing Phone 3 reportedly has a triple camera configuration that includes a 50MP primary sensor, along with an ultrawide lens and a telephoto lens. Regarding the software, the Nothing Phone 3 will probably come with Nothing OS 3, which is based on Android 15, pre-installed. Furthermore, CEO Carl Pei has verified that the forthcoming device will be constructed from “premium materials” and will have a price tag of approximately 800 pounds, equivalent to about Rs 90,000.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
This year, Samsung is also intensifying its focus on foldables. It is speculated that the Galaxy Z Fold 7, South Korean phone manufacturer’s next book-style foldable device, will feature a significantly larger inner AMOLED display measuring 8.2 inches and a cover display measuring 6.5 inches. Just like the Galaxy S25 series, it will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which offers a significant speed boost compared to last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The company recently hinted at an “Ultra” variant, but tipsters suggest that rather than introducing a new model, Samsung may incorporate the Ultra experience into the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This means that, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, the forthcoming device will probably feature a 200MP primary camera.
Samsung has announced that its forthcoming foldable will feature “a smaller and more portable form factor,” indicating the introduction of a significantly smaller and lighter device. Although the price details are not yet available, the company will definitely unveil its next foldable smartphone at the summer Galaxy Unpacked event in July or August.
Poco F7
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which is the flagship model for the Chinese phone maker in 2025, is already on the market. However, the company’s sub-brand Poco will be releasing the Poco F7 later this month. The Poco F7, recognized for producing phones that deliver flagship performance at a cost below half that of premium devices, is expected to be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.
If this is accurate, the Poco F7 will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and a massive 120Hz 6.83-inch flat LTPO AMOLED display. It is said that the forthcoming phone will operate on HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15, and feature an in-display optical fingerprint scanner.
This device is aimed at performance over camera quality, so we can expect a dual-camera configuration featuring a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. It is probable that the phone will feature as much as 16GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. According to reports, all of this is supported by a 7,550mAh battery that allows for fast wired charging at 90W. As for the cost, the Poco F7 will be priced in the range of Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000.
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max
While the iPhone 16 was just an incremental upgrade, it seems Apple will be adding more excitement with the iPhone 17 series. Although the phone won’t launch for several months yet, speculation suggests that the tech giant will abandon its established design language.
As per a recently released render by the well-known Apple informant Jon Prosser, who has a good track record of predictions, the iPhone 17 series will feature a large camera island that extends across the phone’s width and contains three sensors on its left side.
The renders suggest that the camera island will appear darker, creating a dual-tone finish. The upcoming iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro are reported to be equipped with the A19 Pro chipset and feature a 48MP telephoto camera. However, given the current uncertainty, it would not be surprising if the iPhone 17 turns out to be yet another iterative upgrade.
Google Pixel 10
As is customary, the Pixel 10 series has already been seen in the wild on multiple occasions. This year, Google is moving away from Samsung in favor of TSMC, which could indicate that the Pixel 10 will finally deliver flagship performance with the Tensor G5 chipset.
Design-wise, “a full-on commercial shoot for the Google Pixel 10” implies that the tech giant will maintain the same design as the Pixel 9. Nonetheless, Google may unveil the Pixel 10 in a variety of new colors.
Most models in the Pixel 10 series will feature the same camera sensors as last year, but some reports and a recently leaked advertisement suggest that the base Pixel 10 may finally include a telephoto lens. As was the case last year, the Pixel 10 series will include four models: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
