Telangana factory explosion: Death toll reaches 42 due to reactor blast at chemical facility
As more bodies were found during rescue operations, the number of fatalities from the explosion at a chemical factory in Telangana rose to 42 on Tuesday.
The toll, which was 12 until Monday night, increased to 34 on Tuesday morning and has now risen further.
During the removal of the debris, several bodies have been discovered beneath it… The final stage of the rescue operation is still in progress, District Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj informed the PTI news agency.
Additionally, it is anticipated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will visit the location of the accident on Tuesday morning.

On Monday, a suspected reactor explosion caused a blast and fire at Sigachi Chemical Industry in Pashamylaram.
State health minister Damodar Rajanarasimha informed reporters that approximately 90 employees were present in the factory when the incident occurred.
He added, quoting the workers, that “the explosion completely demolished the industrial shed, and the force of the blast was so powerful that it threw some of the workers into the air, causing them to land about 100 meters away.”
After the blast, rescue and firefighting efforts were conducted at the facility, resulting in the recovery of at least 10 corpses.
The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, but it is thought to be the result of a chemical reaction.
Local media reported on Tuesday that rescue operations are being carried out by NDRF, HYDRAA, and Telangana Fire Disaster Response teams.
Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, conveyed his sorrow regarding the unfortunate incident as well. The state governor expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident and wished a swift recovery to the injured.
The Governor addressed the Labour, Employment Training and Factories (LETF) Principal Secretary, M. Dan Kishore and instructed him to provide all possible assistance to the blast victims.
