Jyoti Malhotra, a Haryana YouTuber, was arrested for spying for Pakistan.

According to authorities on Sunday, a businessman in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, has been taken into custody on suspicion of espionage for Pakistan. The Uttar Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force (STF) from Moradabad detained the accused, Shahzad, after receiving information on his suspected involvement in espionage and cross-border smuggling for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The STF said in a statement that he was also giving his handlers critical national security information.

According to the CIA, Shahzad had visited Pakistan several times over the years and was allegedly smuggling clothing, cosmetics, spices, and other goods across the border.

According to the STF, he used his illicit trade as a pretext to carry out his clandestine ISI operations.

Shahzad used to give the Indian SIM cards and money to the ISI agents in India, according to the inquiry.

He also sent persons from the Rampur area and other regions of Uttar Pradesh to Pakistan to work for the ISI, according to the STF.

“The ISI agents arranged these individuals’ visas,” the agency stated.

YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra Was Arrested for Pakistani Spying

Shahzad was arrested a few days after a YouTuber from Haryana was detained on suspicion of giving Pakistani intelligence officers private information.

According to reports, Jyoti Malhotra, the owner of the “Travel with JO” YouTube channel, which has over three lakh subscribers, communicated with a Pakistani employee at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi.

That Pakistani officer was expelled by India on May 13 for allegedly engaging in espionage. ‘Indian Girl in Pakistan’, ‘Indian Girl Exploring Lahore’, ‘Indian Girl at Katas Raj Temple’, and ‘Indian Girl Rides Luxury Bus in Pakistan’ are some of the videos she made while in Pakistan.

These arrests coincide with tensions between India and Pakistan after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.
