According to News18, which cited sources, Jyoti Malhotra a Youtuber transmitted vital information about India with Pakistan during Operation Sindoor before being arrested on espionage charges for her claimed connections to Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIOs).
According to reports, the YouTuber from Haryana provided information about the blackouts that the Center enforced when the Pakistani military was targeting militant facilities.

This comes just a day after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Intelligence Bureau grilled Malhotra during interrogation.

The YouTuber was in regular contact with Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, who worked in the Pakistani High Commission in Delhi, according to the Haryana police and the central investigating authorities. Between November 2023 and March 2025, she had been communicating with him.
Malhotra admitted to communicating with Danish, according to Hisar police spokesperson Vikas Kumar, as reported by HT.
Additionally, authorities sent her three cell phones, a laptop, and two of Harkirat Singh’s (the Haryana Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee’s IT in-charge) cell phones for forensic examination.
Kumar said that Danish was developing Malhotra as “an asset”, adding that she was in touch with other YouTubers as well. She will produced before a local court on Wednesday where police will seek an extension of her remand. Danish has now been declared persona non grata by India.
He had introduced Malhotra to Ali Ahwan, who then arranged her accommodation in Pakistan and her meetings with Islamabad security officials. She reportedly kept in touch with the Pakistani officials even after returning to India. The YouTuber had met Danish several times at the Pakistan High Commission in the capital.
The investigating agencies are keeping a close eye on Malhotra’s travels to China and Pakistan, particularly the trip he took prior to the Pahalgam incident.
According to HT’s report, a top police officer also claimed that Jyoti Malhotra had other previous accounts with numerous transactions associated with them. Every one of these transactions is likewise being examined.
Eleven other people, including Malhotra, were detained in the past two weeks on suspicion of participating in Pakistani spying.
