Oppo Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro: Full specs

The Oppo Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro were initially introduced in China about two months back, and the Indian versions have kept most of the essential features. The design is unchanged, with Oppo providing various finishes for each variant. The Reno 14 offers color choices of Mermaid, Pinellia Green, and Reef Black, whereas the Pro model features Calla Lily Purple, Mermaid, and Reef Black. For certain color variants, Oppo has applied a new gradient finish along with its Iridescent Glow Process, resulting in a shimmering effect on the back panel. To emphasize the premium aesthetics, a glowing ring encircles the camera island. The two phones are made from aerospace-grade aluminium, resulting in a sturdy feel when held.

The dimensions of the Reno 14 are as follows: it has a thickness of 7.42 mm and a weight of approximately 185 g. With a thickness of 7.48mm and a weight of 201 grams, the Reno 14 Pro is only marginally thicker and heavier. The added weight is likely due to a bigger battery and wireless charging hardware in the Pro model.

The Reno 14 has a flat OLED display measuring 6.59 inches on the front, while the Pro variant is equipped with a slightly larger panel of 6.83 inches. Both feature a resolution of 1.5K, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. Oppo asserts that the device’s HBM brightness reaches 1,200 nits. The company has incorporated its proprietary Crystal Shield Glass to safeguard the display. Additionally, it supports Splash Touch and Glove Mode.

The Reno 14 features the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, whereas the Pro model comes with the more advanced Dimensity 8450 SoC. Both devices support a maximum of 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. Their shipment includes the latest ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15.

The Reno 14 series also comes with a variety of AI-enhanced features that Oppo is promoting. These comprise resources such as AI Perfect Shot, AI Style Transfer, AI Editor 2.0, and AI Recompose to enhance photo and video results. AI Live Photo 2.0 and Voice Enhancer are also included, designed to enhance audio clarity during calls or recordings.

As far as cameras are concerned, the Reno 14 Pro features a more upscale configuration. It includes four 50-megapixel sensors: a 50MP OV50E main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide shooter, and a supplementary 50MP OV50D sensor for portrait shots or depth enhancement. Within the price range of under Rs 50,000, this camera configuration is uncommon. The standard Reno 14 features a main camera with a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor and OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, both devices feature a 50MP JN5 front camera.

Battery life is also one of the talking points. The Reno 14 gets a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast wired charging. The Pro version slightly edges it out with a 6,200mAh battery and support for 50W wireless charging via Oppo’s AIRVOOC technology.
