Nothing is merely a week away from the launch of its next major smartphone in India. The Nothing Phone 2 debuted nearly two years ago, and a new version has been awaited for quite some time. The Nothing Phone (3) is officially scheduled to launch on July 1, and in anticipation of the release, nearly all details about the phone have surfaced online—including key specs, anticipated pricing, and design modifications. This time, the emphasis appears to be on refining the experience instead of opting for extravagant hardware. It is confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) will include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. While it may not be the most powerful flagship processor, it still appears to be a solid upgrade in various aspects.
To begin with, the camera configuration is being significantly enhanced. According to leaks, the Phone (3) will come equipped with a new 50-megapixel periscope lens that offers 3x optical zoom. Alongside the existing 50-megapixel main camera and 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, this would be added. There may be two variants of the Nothing Phone (3): one featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a higher-end version with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. In the US, the device is expected to be priced at $799 (approximately Rs 68,000), but the price in India will likely be lower.
Nothing founder Carl Pei had previously suggested a more premium pricing strategy, indicating that the phone could be priced at around GBP 800, which is nearly Rs 90,000 in Indian currency. To stay competitive, the brand is likely to aim for a more reasonable price range of Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000.
