Pawan Khera Slams Foreign Policy Silence Amid Trump’s Claims on India-Pak Conflict: Wars Aren’t Fought Only on Borders”

In a strong and pointed critique, AICC Media and Publicity Department Chairman Pawan Khera has once again raised concerns about the Modi government’s foreign policy posture and its alleged silence on international interference in India’s strategic matters. Drawing attention to recent remarks by former U.S. President Donald Trump, Khera accused the BJP leadership of failing to safeguard national interests both diplomatically and strategically.

Pawan Khera Slams Foreign Policy

“Wars Are Not Fought Only on the Borders”

Khera began his statement by emphasizing that military conflicts are not limited to battlegrounds. “Wars are also fought by political strategists sitting in the capital,” he said, acknowledging the valor of India’s armed forces but highlighting that policymakers play a critical role in either empowering or weakening the outcomes of a military operation.

“The decisions made in war rooms in the capital are just as crucial. These can either boost the morale and effectiveness of our soldiers — or severely undermine them,” he added.

Rahul Gandhi’s Questions on Jaishankar’s Silence

Khera referred to Rahul Gandhi’s recent questioning of External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar’s silence in the wake of Donald Trump’s startling claims. According to Trump, during a past India-Pakistan conflict, he intervened and mediated peace by threatening India with trade sanctions.

“Trump claimed he used threats of halting trade with India to stop the war. And yet, our Prime Minister remained silent. Our Foreign Minister hasn’t uttered a word,” Khera said.

Was There a Compromise on National Interest?”

Khera accused the Modi government of compromising national interest through silence and passivity. He used strong rhetoric, saying, “This was a ‘sindoor ka sauda’ — a symbolic reference to sacrificing honor — and it happened while the Prime Minister watched silently.”

What Secrets Are They Hiding from America and China?”

Raising pointed questions, Khera asked:

  • “Why do Prime Minister Modi, Foreign Minister Jaishankar, and BJP leaders never raise their voice against China or the U.S.?”

  • “What secrets do they hold that prevent them from speaking openly in defense of India’s sovereignty?”

Khera alleged that when BJP leaders do speak, it is only to issue “clean chits” to foreign powers. “We don’t care about what secrets they’re hiding,” he said, “but why is the nation paying the price for their silence?”

🇨🇳 Reference to China and Pahalgam Attack

Khera linked the government’s alleged inaction to broader concerns, including the unresolved justice in the Pahalgam terror attack and China’s role in recent military escalations. “The whole world knows China’s role in the conflict,” he said, “and Trump has openly taken credit for stopping the war — yet Dr. Jaishankar remains mute.”

Final Words: A Call for Transparency and Accountability

Khera’s statements echo a larger political sentiment in the opposition ranks — that India’s current foreign policy lacks transparency, strategic assertiveness, and a willingness to stand up to global pressure.

As political narratives heat up in the lead-up to elections, the issue of national security and foreign policy is once again center stage. Whether the government chooses to respond to these criticisms may define how it is perceived in matters of defense and diplomacy in the months ahead.
