Now you can enjoy superfast Wi-Fi in every nook and cranny of your home. Jio stated on its website, “Driven by Wi-Fi 6 with OFDMA and MU-MIMO, JioRouter provides speeds of up to 6,000 Mbps and covers an area of approximately 2,000 sq. ft.

Smart Home-Ready with Dual-Band and IoT Mode

Thanks to the router, various devices like smartphones, laptops, televisions, and smart devices can simultaneously connect to high-speed internet. It also supports features like dual-band WiFi, Jio True AI Mesh coverage, and smart home connectivity.

Jio claims that the router, which has dual-band support under a single SSID, allows for seamless device management and intelligent switching between the 2.4 GHz (802.11 b/g/n/ax) and 5 GHz (802.11 a/n/ac/ax) bands. Additionally, it includes a dedicated IoT mode on the 2.4 GHz band, providing reliable connectivity for smart home devices.

AX6000 refers to the Wi-Fi protocol and speed class the router supports. “AX” indicates Wi-Fi 6 technology, and “6000” represents the maximum combined speed (4800 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 1200 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band).

Jio True AI Mesh Ready

According to Jio, the router works with its True AI Mesh system, enabling users to effortlessly enlarge their network with compatible Jio Wi-Fi 6 extenders. This offers intelligent, cohesive coverage throughout the whole house, with no signal loss.

With its mesh functionality, the AX6000 can be combined with devices such as the JioExtender JE6801 to ensure uniform coverage throughout larger residences. The router, fortified with WPA3 security, aims to safeguard user data from contemporary cybersecurity threats.

Pricing, Availability

The JioHome App simplifies installation and management, providing users with an easy setup process and control of their home network. The router is advertised as universally compatible, but it is crucial to understand that it only supports IP over DHCP and does not work with IPoE or PPPoE connections.

According to Jio, the device is locally manufactured in India. It has a price tag of ₹5,999 and can be bought on Amazon at present.
