Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Interior participated in the International Cryptocurrency Security Action Week session in Singapore through its International Affairs Office. In partnership with Mastercard, the Secure Communities Forum organized the event.

In order to improve digital security and tackle the escalating problems of cryptocurrency-related criminality, the meeting gathered together technology executives, private-sector specialists, and senior representatives from international law enforcement.

Tailored sessions for law enforcement and security professionals

The program, which was created especially for law enforcement and security professionals, attracted hundreds of experts and dozens of international organizations.

The US Internal Revenue Service, the Royal Malaysian Police, the Data Security Council of India, Nanyang Technological University, Rabdan Academy, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), INTERPOL, and top technology and data analytics firms from around the world were among the notable attendees.

Focus areas: research, collaboration, and thoughts for the future

Three main topics were the focus of conversations and hands-on training sessions during the event:

investigating crimes involving cryptocurrencies by employing cutting-edge techniques to detect fraud, stop money laundering, and keep an eye on dark web activity.

enhancing collaboration between the public and private sectors by linking law enforcement with bitcoin exchanges and analytics companies.

Expert talks on digital assets, legislative changes, and new threats provide forward-looking views.
