A pilot is killed when an Air Force Jaguar fighter crashes in Churu, Rajasthan.
New Delhi: On Wednesday, a Jaguar fighter jet crashed close to Bhanuda hamlet in Rajasthan’s Churu district, killing an Air Force pilot. The aircraft departed from the air base in Suratgarh.
Rajasthan is home to multiple Air Force bases, including one in Bikaner and another in Jodhpur.

Previous Crash of a Jaguar Fighter Jet
An Air Force Jaguar fighter plane crashed in April close to Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Siddharth Yadav, one of the pilots, lost his life rescuing the other.
A technical issue during a training mission caused the aircraft to crash in an open field about 9.30 p.m. Yadav made sure his co-pilot was only slightly hurt and ejected on time.
Regretfully, Yadav was unable to get off the aircraft in time.
There were no civilian casualties.
Sushil Yadav, Siddharth’s father, expressed his pride in his son. “I am very proud… he lost his life while saving another,” he told NDTV. However, since he was my only kid, it is also a grieving situation.
